Jacob’s Ladder Genesis 28:10-22

June 16 2024 Kristopher Bate

JAcob is a man on the run from a brother dedicated to killing him. He’s running from his brother and running towards a new wife and new life. He’s God’s chosen man but finds himself sleeping rough, alone, and using a stone for a pillow.

Being chosen of God doesn’t mean you’re in for an easy ride. In the midst of the suffering we mustn’t succumb to the temptation to make a ladder to heaven for ourselves, but instead find God’s ladder.

Hear more in this sermon on Jacob’s ladder and it’s significance to the Gospel story.
